As a former NCAA (Division I) freestyle distance swimmer, I know the importance of getting up everyday and putting in hard work to achieve your goals. And for the past 20 years, I have shared my passion for swimming with my athletes as a swim instructor. Over my teaching career, I have gained invaluable experience working with athletes from all walks of life and ranging in ages from 3 months to 87 years old! I have\been a coach for two club swim teams and two summer swim teams locally and has taught an “open water” swimming course that helped prepare triathletes for their upcoming events.
When it comes to CrossFit, I have brought the same dedication and passion that I have for swimming to the “box” with me everyday for the past five years. I have used the CrossFit methodology to help maintain my functional fitness throughout pregnancies, training to swim multiple marathon swims and for competing in local CrossFit competitions for fun! I considers myself a shining example of how CrossFit can be used to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness level for anyone who’s willing to give it a try. I hope to help you find your inner athlete through “constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement.”
